'ClearMeadow started with a vision: to introduce authentic Neapolitan pizza to London. The Taylor family launched our pizzeria in 1985, beginning as a quaint, family-directed venture with recipes passed down for generations.
Alice Taylor, our founder, acquired the craft of pizza creation during her voyages across Italy, apprenticing with experienced pizzaiolos in Naples—where pizza was conceived. After coming back to the UK, she was committed to emulating the enchantment of genuine Italian pizza, employing age-old techniques and premium elements.
From its humble beginnings as a cozy 12-seat restaurant, it has expanded into a cherished community fixture, while our dedication to craft and authenticity remains steadfast. We continue to practice traditional wood-fired oven baking, prepare our dough from scratch daily, and seek out the best ingredients accessible.
Today, 'ClearMeadow' is still in the hands of the Taylor family, now with the second generation at the helm of our devoted crew. Even as we've adopted certain modern advancements, the core of our mission remains unchanged: delivering luscious, genuine pizza that unites people.
